Inspection Statistics

During 2025, the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) established a total of sixty-one (61) Inspection Teams that covered the gambling sector that generated six hundred and twenty-eight (628) Inspection Reports.

The Inspection Reports were distributed as follows:

  • One hundred and eleven (111) Inspection Reports concerning the operation of casino enterprises.
  • Five (5) Inspection Reports on compliance with the Gaming Regulation on Commercial Communication of Games of Chance.
  • Two hundred and fourteen (214) Inspection Reports on compliance with the Gaming Regulation for the Organization and Conduct of Online Gambling.
  • Two hundred and sixteen (216) Inspection Reports on compliance with the provisions of the OPAP S.A. Agent Regulation and the certification requirements  of the Regulation on the Conduct and Control of Games of Chance Conducted through VLT-Type Gaming Machines applicable to Type A, B, and F Establishments.
  • Four (4) Inspection Reports on compliance with the regulatory provisions governing the conduct of games by HELLENIC LOTTERIES S.A.
  • One (1) Inspection Report on compliance with the Special Mutual Horse Racing Betting Regulation.
  • Twenty-eight (28) Inspection Reports on compliance by holders of a Suitability License for Online Gambling Promotional Activities Affiliates.
  • Thirty-three (33) Inspection Reports on compliance with the Regulation on the Implementation of Measures to Prevent and Combat Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing by Obligated Persons in the Gambling Market.
  • Six (6) Inspection Reports concerning the unauthorized provision of gambling services via the internet, resulting in six (6) new additions to the List of Unlicensed Gambling Providers (Blacklist).
  • Seven (7) Inspection Reports concerning requests for removal from the List of Unlicensed Gambling Providers (Blacklist).
  • One (1) Inspection Report on compliance by providers of games of chance conducted through radio, television, or other telecommunications media.
  • Two (2) Inspection Reports on compliance with the Regulation for Electronic Technical-Amusement Games Operated through Gaming Machines.
