Collaborations

The Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) actively participates in international cooperation initiatives and maintains close relationships with regulatory authorities and institutions across Europe and worldwide. Through these collaborations, the HGC exchanges knowledge, expertise, and best practices, while contributing to the development of effective regulatory approaches for the gambling sector.

International Regulatory Networks

Through its participation in these networks, the HGC aims to strengthen regulatory cooperation, promote responsible gambling, enhance player protection, and support the integrity and transparency of gambling markets.

European and International Cooperations

As Greece’s competent gambling regulatory authority, the HGC participated in the European Commission’s Expert Group on Gambling Services, which facilitated dialogue and cooperation among EU Member States on online gambling regulation.
In November 2015, the HGC, on behalf of Greece, signed the Administrative Cooperation Agreement (ACA) together with the gambling regulatory authorities of most European Economic Area (EEA) Member States. The Agreement promotes cross-border regulatory cooperation in areas such as:

  • Exchange of information on gambling operators.
  • Protection of players and consumers.
  • Safeguarding gambling integrity.
  • Reduction of unnecessary administrative burdens.
  • Sharing of regulatory best practices.

The Administrative Cooperation Agreement is available in:  EN EL

Bilateral Cooperation
The HGC also maintains direct relationships with regulatory authorities worldwide through:

  • Technical meetings and consultations.
  • Exchange visits and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Information sharing and cooperation on matters of mutual regulatory interest.
