Social responsibility
The protection of society as a whole is a fundamental mission of the HGC and runs through all of its regulatory, supervisory and audit actions. The operation of the gambling market is not limited to ensuring its legality and proper functioning, but is directly linked to the protection of citizens, the prevention of social risks and the promotion of responsible gambling.
In this context, the HGC designs and implements policies and actions aimed at preventing and addressing high-risk gambling behavior, protecting vulnerable groups and minors, informing and raising awareness among citizens, as well as strengthening the culture of responsible gambling. At the same time, it collaborates with public bodies, scientific organizations, academic institutions and social partners, in order to develop evidence-based policies that respond to modern social challenges.
The social responsibility of the HGC is also expressed through the continuous monitoring of the impacts of the gambling market, the utilization of scientific data and the support of initiatives that contribute to the formation of a safe, responsible and sustainable environment for all market participants.
The aim of the HGC is to ensure that the gambling market grows with respect for people, society and the public interest, by strengthening citizens’ trust and promoting a high level of social protection.
