Excluded Player

An excluded player is a player who is prohibited from participating in gambling activities. Exclusion may occur:

• At the player’s own request (self-exclusion).
• Following a request submitted by the player’s legal guardian.
• Pursuant to a court decision.
• Based on a duly justified decision of the gambling operator or organiser.

This definition is set out in Article 25(f) of Law 4002/2011 (Government Gazette A’ 180).

In the case of land-based casinos, an exclusion request may also be submitted by:

• The player’s spouse.
• First-degree relatives, namely:
  • Parents.
  • Children.

For each individual, first-degree relatives and spouses may submit exclusion requests concerning that person up to two times in total.
