HGC guidelines
The HGC issues Guidelines aimed at clarifying, specifying and implementing the institutional and regulatory framework governing the gambling market in a uniform manner. These guidelines provide interpretative guidance, clarifications and practical instructions to supervised entities, in view of the consistent application of regulatory provisions and enhancing legal certainty.
These Guidelines do not set new regulatory obligations; instead, they support the implementation of the current institutional and regulatory framework, taking into account market developments, technological changes and the needs of supervised entities.
They contribute to the understanding of the obligations arising from the applicable legislation, the Gaming Regulation and the decisions of the HGC, promoting the uniform compliance of the supervised persons and more effective supervision. At the same time, they constitute a communication tool between the HGC and the market, enhancing transparency, predictability and the correct implementation of the regulatory framework.
