Land Based Casino operations in Greece are subject to a licensing and regulatory framework designed to ensure the lawful, secure, and transparent conduct of casino gaming activities.
Currently, eight land based casino enterprises operate in Greece under licenses issued pursuant to Law 2206/1994 (Government Gazette A’ 62) and Law 3139/2003 (Government Gazette A’ 100).
The regulatory framework for the licensing and operation of casinos was further modernised through Articles 357-378 of Law 4512/2018 (Government Gazette A’ 5), which introduced updated provisions governing the granting of new casino licenses and the operation of casino enterprises in Greece.
