As part of the regulation of the online gambling market in Greece, the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) establishes certification and licensing requirements for Manufacturers and Suppliers of Technical Means and Materials used in the conduct of online games of chance.
To operate within the regulated market, these entities must obtain a Suitability Licence from the HGC, demonstrating that their systems, software, equipment, and technological infrastructure comply with the applicable technical specifications, security requirements, and regulatory standards. Eligible Manufacturers and Suppliers are registered in the relevant HGC Register.
Licensed online gambling operators may offer only those gambling products and services that have been certified by the HGC and are supplied by manufacturers and suppliers holding a valid Suitability Licence.
Applications for a B2B Online Suitability Licence are submitted electronically through the HGC Information System.
Detailed information regarding the licensing procedure, eligibility requirements, and supporting documentation is also available through the Greek National Administrative Procedures Portal (MITOS):
