The Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) places significant emphasis on the acquisition and maintenance of certifications, both at the level of systems—digital and organizational—and at the level of human resources. HGC’s certification policy complements its training and professional development initiatives, recognizing that certifications are a critical factor in improving the quality of services delivered, in the public interest and for the protection of society.

Within the framework of its strategic planning, the Authority is oriented towards adopting and implementing internationally recognized ISO standards, such as ISO 9001 for quality assurance and the continuous improvement of administrative processes, ISO 27001 for enhancing information security and protecting critical data, and ISO 37001 for safeguarding integrity and preventing bribery and corruption. These standards complement the Authority’s policies, contributing to the development of a modern administrative model based on risk management and continuous improvement.

At the same time, HGC consistently invests in the certification of its personnel in specialized areas directly related to its core responsibilities. These include, indicatively, certifications of internal auditors for ISO management systems and internationally recognized professional certifications such as CISA, aimed at strengthening the Authority’s capability to audit complex information systems and technological infrastructures. In this context, the systematic use of international technical certification standards for gaming systems, such as GLI standards, further enhances the Authority’s technical capacity and supports the effective exercise of its supervisory and regulatory role in the field of online gaming and technologically complex gaming environments.
