Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing in the gambling service market.
Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) is the competent authority for regulating, supervising and controlling gambling in Greece. Its main goal is to safeguard public and social interest, public revenues and legitimacy of the gambling providers both in the stages of licensing and operating.
According to the Law 4557/2018 [Government Gazette 136/issue A, (article 6 par. 1)], HGC is the competent authority for monitoring the implementation of its provisions according AML/CTF to casinos, casinos on board under Greek flag, enterprises/businesses, organizations and agencies who organize and/or conduct gambling in Greece, plus their land-based agencies.
