{"id":22957,"date":"2026-03-17T13:34:26","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T10:34:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hgc.gov.gr\/supervision-and-control\/licences\/b2c-online-licences\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T09:37:59","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T06:37:59","slug":"b2c-online-licences","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hgc.gov.gr\/en\/supervision-and-control\/licences\/b2c-online-licences\/","title":{"rendered":"B2C Online Licences"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-page\" data-elementor-id=\"22957\" class=\"elementor elementor-22957 elementor-7719\" data-elementor-post-type=\"page\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6fe26cca e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"6fe26cca\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d2291ea elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d2291ea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The <strong>Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC)<\/strong> grants licences for the provision of online gambling services to players in Greece (<strong>B2C Online<\/strong>) in accordance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework, including <strong>Law 4002\/2011 (Government Gazette A&#8217; 180)<\/strong>, and <strong>Ministerial Decision 79835 <\/strong><strong>\u0395\u039e<\/strong><strong> 2020 (Government Gazette B&#8217; 3265)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Two distinct categories of B2C Online licences may be granted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Type 1 Licence<\/strong>: Online Betting<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type 2 Licence<\/strong>: Other Online Games, including casino games, live casino games, and poker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The operation of licensed online gambling services is further regulated through HGC regulatory instruments, including the <strong>Regulation on the Conduct and Control of Gaming<\/strong>, as well as the specific terms and conditions governing the granting, renewal, and maintenance of these licences.<\/p>\n<p>Holders of B2C Online licences are required to comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, technical, and operational requirements, including measures relating to player protection, responsible gambling, anti-money laundering controls, and the integrity and security of gaming systems.<\/p>\n<p>Possession of the relevant HGC licence is a mandatory prerequisite for the lawful provision of online gambling services to players in Greece.
