Open links with Enter or Space, close with Escape, and navigate with Arrow Keys\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<details id=\"e-n-accordion-item-8480\" class=\"e-n-accordion-item\" >\n\t\t\t\t<summary class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title\" data-accordion-index=\"1\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"e-n-accordion-item-8480\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class='e-n-accordion-item-title-header'><div class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title-text\"> Relevant Legislation <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t<div role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-accordion-item-8480\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cfc8f6 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"4cfc8f6\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9a4d0ab elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9a4d0ab\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The rules governing player exclusion and temporary time-out measures in gambling activities are set out in the following legislative and regulatory instruments:<\/p><p>1)<\/p><p>2) \u038c\u03c3\u03bf\u03bd \u03b1\u03c6\u03bf\u03c1\u03ac \u03c3\u03c4\u03b1 \u03c4\u03c5\u03c7\u03b5\u03c1\u03ac \u03c0\u03b1\u03af\u03b3\u03bd\u03b9\u03b1 \u03c0\u03bf\u03c5 \u03b4\u03b9\u03b5\u03be\u03ac\u03b3\u03bf\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03b9 \u03bc\u03ad\u03c3\u03c9 \u03a0\u03b1\u03b9\u03b3\u03bd\u03b9\u03bf\u03bc\u03b7\u03c7\u03b1\u03bd\u03b7\u03bc\u03ac\u03c4\u03c9\u03bd \u03c4\u03cd\u03c0\u03bf\u03c5 Video Lottery Terminal <strong>(<\/strong><strong>OPAP<\/strong> <strong>PLAY<\/strong><strong>&#8211; <\/strong><strong>VLTS<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong>, \u03b1\u03c0\u03cc \u03c4\u03b7\u03bd \u03c5\u03c0\u2019 \u03b1\u03c1\u03b9\u03b8\u03bc. 79314 EX 2020 (Government Gazette B\u2019 3263) of the Minister of Finance, entitled \u201cGaming Regulation for the Conduct of Gambling Activities through Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs).\u201d<\/p><p>3) With regard to gambling activities conducted in<strong> land-based <\/strong><strong>casino <\/strong>establishments, the relevant provisions are set out in 303\/5\/27.02.2018 (Government Gazette B\u2019 1025) of the Minister of Finance, entitled \u201cAmendment and Codification of Ministerial Decision No. T\/6736\/2003 (Government Gazette B\u2019 929) of the Minister of Development, entitled \u2018Regulation on the Administrative Control and Supervision of Casino Operations\u2019.<\/p><p><strong>For all other gambling activities conducted anonymously<\/strong> (i.e. where no identity verification is performed and the player&#8217;s details are not identified),<strong> no self-exclusion mechanism is provided<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<details id=\"e-n-accordion-item-8481\" class=\"e-n-accordion-item\" >\n\t\t\t\t<summary class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title\" data-accordion-index=\"2\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"e-n-accordion-item-8481\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class='e-n-accordion-item-title-header'><div class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title-text\"> Self-Excluded Player <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t<div role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-accordion-item-8481\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-64746f3 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"64746f3\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-211ff52 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"211ff52\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>is a player who is not permitted to participate in gambling activities following:<br\/>their own initiative (self-exclusion);<br\/>a request submitted by their court-appointed guardian or legal representative to the persons or entities organising and\/or conducting the gambling activities;<br\/>a court decision; or<br\/>a reasoned decision by the persons or entities organising and\/or conducting the gambling activities. (Point (ist) of Article 25 of Law 4002\/2011, Government Gazette A&#8217; 180)<\/p><p>For land-based casino gaming only, an exclusion declaration may also be submitted by any first-degree relative (children or parents) or by the player&#8217;s spouse. For each individual, first-degree relatives and spouses may submit exclusion declarations in relation to land-based casinos no more than two times in total.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<details id=\"e-n-accordion-item-8482\" class=\"e-n-accordion-item\" >\n\t\t\t\t<summary class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title\" data-accordion-index=\"3\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"e-n-accordion-item-8482\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class='e-n-accordion-item-title-header'><div class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title-text\"> Types of Exclusion and Temporary Suspension <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t<div role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-accordion-item-8482\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-526f4ca e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"526f4ca\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a9777af elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a9777af\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Indefinite Self-Exclusion from online gambling, Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY-VLTs), and land-based Casino gambling:<\/p><p>If a player requests an indefinite self-exclusion from online gambling activities or Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY-VLTs), the License Holder is required to immediately deactivate and place the Player Account (for online gambling) or the Individual Player Card (for OPAP PLAY-VLTs) in \u201cClosed\u201d status and terminate the contractual relationship. An indefinite self-exclusion<strong> is not lifted automatically<\/strong>. The Player Account or Individual Player Card may only be reactivated <strong>at the player&#8217;s request, provided that at least one (1) year has elapsed from the date of exclusion, a new Participation Agreement has been entered into, and all legally required procedures have been completed<\/strong>.<\/p><p>For land-based casinos, the exclusion remains in force for a mandatory<strong> period of six (6) months <\/strong>from the date the declaration is submitted. <strong>It is not lifted automatically<\/strong> and may only be revoked<strong> following a request <\/strong>by the excluded person, regardless of whether the exclusion was initiated by the player, a first-degree relative, or the player&#8217;s spouse. <\/p><p>2.<strong>Temporary Self-Exclusion<\/strong> from Online Gambling and Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs)<\/p><p>The duration of a temporary self-exclusion is determined by the player and must be for a minimum period of one (1) month. The License Holder is required to immediately block the Player Account \/ Individual Player Card and maintain that status for the entire duration of the temporary self-exclusion period. The restriction is automatically lifted when the period specified by the player expires.<\/p><p>Temporary self-exclusion is not available for gambling activities conducted in land-based casino establishments.<\/p><p><strong>3\u03b1<\/strong>.<strong> Twenty-Four (24)-Hour Temporary Time-Out from Online Gambling<\/strong><\/p><p>The License Holder must provide players with the option to take a temporary break from participating in gambling activities for a period of twenty-four (24) hours. If the player chooses this option, the License Holder is required to immediately place the Player Account into \u201cBlocked\u201d status and maintain this status throughout the twenty-four-hour time-out period. The restriction is lifted automatically.<\/p><p><strong>3\u03b2<\/strong>.<strong> Temporary Time-Out from Gambling Activities Conducted through Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY\u2013VLTs)<\/strong><\/p><p>The Operator provides players with the option to interrupt their gaming session and suspend their participation in gambling activities until 00:00:00 (midnight) of the same calendar day (Day Stop).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<details id=\"e-n-accordion-item-8483\" class=\"e-n-accordion-item\" >\n\t\t\t\t<summary class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title\" data-accordion-index=\"4\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"e-n-accordion-item-8483\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class='e-n-accordion-item-title-header'><div class=\"e-n-accordion-item-title-text\"> Procedures for Submitting Exclusion and Temporary Suspension Requests <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t<div role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-accordion-item-8483\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c52908e e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"c52908e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9253451 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9253451\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>1.<\/strong><strong>Procedure for Submitting a Request for Indefinite Self-Exclusion, Temporary Self-Exclusion or a Temporary Time-Out<\/strong><\/p><p>Players who wish to be placed under an Exclusion regime (either indefinite self-exclusion or temporary self-exclusion) or a Temporary Time-Out may:<\/p><ul><li>submit a relevant application to the land-based casino from which they wish to be excluded;<\/li><li>submit a relevant application at certified OPAP PLAY outlets;<\/li><li>follow the applicable procedures described on the official websites of the respective License Holders for:online gambling activities (for online gambling), and OPAP PLAY (for Video Lottery Terminals \u2013 VLTs).<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>2. Procedure for Submitting a Request for UNIVERSAL EXCLUSION<\/strong><\/p><p>At the present time, the Unified Register of Excluded Players is under development and preparation by the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) prior to becoming operational. Until the official launch of the Unified Register of Excluded Players, it is not possible to register players in the Register, nor can their exclusion be automatically and universally applied across all License Holders. Accordingly, the following provisions apply in cases of Universal Exclusion:<\/p><p><strong>\u0391. <\/strong>Procedure for Requesting <strong>Universal Temporary<\/strong> Self-Exclusion from Online Gambling Activities<\/p><p>Players who wish to obtain universal <strong>temporary <\/strong>self-exclusion from gambling activities organised and conducted by licensed online gambling operators must submit a separate temporary self-exclusion request to each License Holder with whom they maintain an account.<\/p><p><strong>\u0392. <\/strong>Procedure for Requesting <strong>Universal <\/strong><strong>Indefinite <\/strong>Self-Exclusion from Online Gambling Activities, Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY\u2013VLTs), and\/or Land-Based Casino Gaming<\/p><p>Players who wish to obtain <strong>universal indefinite self-exclusion <\/strong>from gambling activities organised and conducted by licensed online gambling operators, through Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY\u2013VLTs), and\/or in land-based casino establishments, must either:<br\/><strong>submit a separate self-exclusion request<\/strong> to each License Holder with whom they maintain an account; or<br\/><strong>submit their request to the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) <\/strong>for administration and processing.<\/p><p>In the latter case, where the player wishes the HGC to manage their request for Universal Indefinite Self-Exclusion, the following documents must be submitted to info@hgc.gov.gr:<\/p><ol><li><strong>a clear copy of both sides<\/strong> of the player&#8217;s identity card or passport;<\/li><\/ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>a<strong> solemn declaration<\/strong> bearing an authenticated electronic signature<strong> through gov.gr, <\/strong>stating that:<\/li><\/ol><p>\u03b1)<strong>.<strong> the player wishes to be subject to indefinite self-exclusion from: online gambling activities; Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY\u2013VLTs); and\/or land-based casino gaming<\/strong><\/strong><\/p><p><strong>(The player may adapt the declaration by removing any gambling category from which they do not wish to be excluded.)<\/strong><\/p><p>b) the player consents to the disclosure of their personal data for the purposes of processing the request.<\/p><p>Upon receipt of the above documents, the HGC will take the necessary actions to notify all relevant License Holders of the player&#8217;s request for Universal Indefinite Self-Exclusion.<\/p><p>Please note that, in all cases, exclusion applies only to licensed gambling operators.<br\/>For the purpose of informing the public, the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) compiles and regularly updates a list of licensed gambling operators (the \u201cWhite List\u201d) that provide gambling services through land-based, online, or other remote gambling channels. The White List is published on the HGC website.<br\/>The publication of this list constitutes sufficient notice and proof of the existence of the relevant licence or certification.<br\/>The White List can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/certifications.gamingcommission.gov.gr\/publicRecordsOnline\/SitePages\/KatoxoiAdeiasOnline.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/certifications.gamingcommission.gov.gr\/publicRecordsOnline\/SitePages\/KatoxoiAdeiasOnline.aspx\" rel=\"noopener\"><br><\/a><\/p><p>Participation in gambling activities organised <strong>without a valid licence<\/strong> is unlawful and may expose players to significant legal risks, penalties, and sanctions. Indefinite Self-Exclusion from Online Gambling Activities, Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY\u2013VLTs), and Land-Based Casino Gaming:\n\nIf a player requests an indefinite self-exclusion from online gambling activities or Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY-VLTs), the License Holder is required to immediately deactivate and place the Player Account (for online gambling) or the Individual Player Card (for OPAP PLAY-VLTs) in \u201cClosed\u201d status and terminate the contractual relationship. An indefinite self-exclusion is not lifted automatically. The Player Account \/ Individual Player Card may be reactivated upon the player\u2019s request, provided that at least one (1) year has elapsed since the exclusion, a new Participation Agreement has been concluded, and all legally required procedures have been completed\n\nFor land-based casinos, exclusion remains in force for a mandatory period of six (6) months from the date the declaration is submitted. It is not lifted automatically and may only be revoked upon a request by the excluded individual, regardless of whether the exclusion was initiated by a first-degree relative or by the individual\u2019s spouse. \n\n2. Temporary Self-Exclusion from Online Gambling Activities and Video Lottery Terminals (OPAP PLAY\u2013VLTs)\n\nThe duration of a temporary self-exclusion is determined by the player and must be for a minimum period of one (1) month. The License Holder is required to immediately block the Player Account \/ Individual Player Card and maintain that status for the entire duration of the temporary self-exclusion period. The restriction is automatically lifted when the period specified by the player expires.\n\nThe option of temporary self-exclusion is not available for gambling activities conducted in land-based casino establishments.\n\n3\u03b1. Twenty-Four (24)-Hour Temporary Time-Out from Online Gambling Activities.\n\nThe License Holder must provide players with the option to take a temporary break from participating in gambling activities for a period of twenty-four (24) hours. If the player chooses this option, the License Holder is required to immediately place the Player Account into \u201cBlocked\u201d status and maintain this status throughout the twenty-four-hour time-out period. The restriction is lifted automatically.\n\n3\u03b2.
