{"id":12775,"date":"2026-01-19T16:29:48","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T13:29:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hgc.gov.gr\/our-work\/partnerships\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T11:25:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T08:25:14","slug":"partnerships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hgc.gov.gr\/en\/work\/partnerships\/","title":{"rendered":"Partnerships"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-page\" data-elementor-id=\"12775\" class=\"elementor elementor-12775 elementor-1359\" data-elementor-post-type=\"page\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b9c21fc e-con-full e-flex e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"b9c21fc\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2bfe223 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2bfe223\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In order to establish its international presence and enhance its expertise in areas within its mandate, the HGC has developed a series of contacts with foreign bodies, either by participating as a member in networks representing regulatory authorities at European and international level, or through its involvement in European Commission working groups, or, furthermore, by developing direct cooperation with equivalent regulatory authorities.<\/p><p><strong>Participation in Regulatory Authorities Representation Networks<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Gaming Regulators European Forum (GREF)<\/strong>: an institutionally established forum bringing together the regulatory authorities of European Union member states.<\/li><li><strong>International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR)<\/strong>: Comprises representatives of gaming regulatory authorities from the international community.<\/li><\/ul><p>The purpose of both networks is to promote the effectiveness of gaming regulation, facilitate the exchange of views, experiences and expertise, the promotion of cooperation among gaming regulatory authorities, while serving as a central point of contact and information for governmental bodies and representatives of the international gaming industry.<\/p><p><strong>Cooperation with European Commission and Counterpart Regulatory Authorities<\/strong><\/p><p>As the competent regulatory authority, the HGC represents Greece in the Expert Group established by the European Commission on issues related to the conduct of online gambling (Expert Group on Online Gambling). The duration of the group\u2019s work was set by European Commission Decision No. C(2012)8795 for a three-year period, which was extended by Decision No. C(2015)8643 for an additional three years, i.e. until 31 December 2018.<\/p><p>The mission of the expert group is to develop dialogue aimed at shaping a common European framework regarding the core principles and standards governing the provision of online gambling services (Towards a comprehensive European framework for online gambling).<\/p><p>In November 2015, an Administrative Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Regulatory Authorities of most Member States of the European Economic Area (EEA).
