Rapid technological changes and the resulting new forms of economic and social activity in the gambling market are creating an increasing demand for transparency, responsible operation and effective and independent institutions. Technological changes and new forms of gaming substantially affect economic activity and social behaviors, requiring a modern and reliable regulatory framework.<\/p>\n

The Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC), as an Independent Authority, is responsible for the regulation, supervision and control of the gaming market in Greece. It monitors the operation of providers, analyzes market data and assesses the risks associated with gambler participation, helping to ensure the legitimacy and sustainability of the industry.<\/p>\n

The main priority of the HGC is the protection of gamblers, with particular attention to minors and vulnerable groups. The prevention of problematic gambling, the fight against illegal gambling and the creation of a safe entertainment environment are key axes of its action.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the HGC invests in its digital and organizational transformation, in strengthening human resources and in making use of modern technologies, thus enhancing the effectiveness of supervision and transparency.
